I’m not going to lie – the last few weeks have been hard, which is why it’s been a bit quiet on here. Liam’s recovery from surgery is moving along slowly, work is mega busy, Freja has had the expected run of February viruses, and also decided that sleep is for babies. Since she’s a toddler now, she’d rather be awake chatting at 2 in the morning. And three. and sometimes even four.
It’s no surprise, therefore, that sinking into bed at the end of the day makes me deliriously happy. Much of that is to do with sleep deprivation and general exhaustion, but it’s also because we’ve made the swap to linen sheets and they are EVERYTHING everyone has promised.
We’ve just come out of the final winter cold-snap (I hope!), and these have kept us nice and warm the entire time. The texture is soft, and the weight is reassuringly heavy. We are so happy with them that we bought a second set, and we’re about to buy a third for our guest bedroom so that our visitors can enjoy crawling into the same loveliness when they come to stay.
